WOLV-TV Viewership:
- WOLV-TV is the University of Michigan’s student-run television station.
- We currently broadcast in all university buildings and residence halls, which have 10,000 potential viewers in the 18 to 25-year-old demographic.
- 96% of students in the residence halls watch WOLV each week.
- We also broadcast each night on UMTV2, the University’s cable station (Comcast channel 22), with a potential viewership of over 76,000 households in the greater Ann Arbor area.
WOLV-TV ADVERTISING RATES 2005-2006
There will be two options for businesses
to advertise with WOLV-TV. Underwrite (=sponsor) an episode of
a program or all episodes of that program (excluding news), or Advertise
with a 30-second spot (=graphic/film footage +voice over) on any
program. The difference is this: when a business underwrites/sponsors
a program, they will be briefly credited at the beginning and at the
end of the program (?this show is brought to you tonight by ___, etc.)
AND have their 30-second spot run during the program. With advertising
only, the business ONLY has their 30-second spot run during the program.?
News will be advertise-only (not able to underwrite) in order to ensure
that there is no interpretation of affiliation or endorsement.
Only 1 business may underwrite a show, but any number may advertise
on any show.
- Advertise: Purchasing an advertising option means that on 1 episode of any program, your 30-second spot (graphic + voice-over) will air during the show. When the show is re-run, your advertisement will be included then as well.
Total price by number of advertising options purchased:
- 1: $85
- 2: $154
- 3: $230
- 4: $306
- more than 4: discount is negotiable and subject to change.
- Underwrite: Purchasing an underwriting option means that you will be the sponsor of1 episode of any program excluding NewsFeed. Your 30-second spot will run during the program, and additionally, you will be credited with a brief acknowledgement (tonight's show is brought to you by ____, located ___, etc.) at the beginning as well as the end of the program.

- 1: $115
- 2: $208
- 3: $310
- 4: $415
- more than 4: discount is negotiable and subject to change.
**You may also choose to underwrite
an entire program (as opposed to just an episode of a program), meaning
that you would be the official sponsor of that program for the remainder
of the semester or year -the price of this package is dependent on
several factors- please discuss this option with a WOLV sales representative.
