- Opening Statements
- All of you have had the vast majority of your academic experience in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. If elected, how will you work to represent students in other colleges, especially since some smaller colleges have a single seat on the Assembly that may not be represented by a member of your party?
- At the candidate forum, many of you discussed the problems that exist between different groups on campus. Discuss a way that your party, if elected to MSA, would work to change these problems and bridge gaps between groups?
- Do you think that the University’s Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities treats students fairly, or would you propose any changes to the Statement?
- If you’re elected President, how will you strike a balance between building the relationships with University administrators you’ll need to accomplish your goals, and criticizing figures in the administration when they act contrary to students’ interests?
- The MSA fee of $7.19 per semester is utterly insignificant compared to what students pay to attend the University, and voter turnout in MSA elections has been very low in recent years. Why should students care what MSA does?
